Everything on the site

Endless runner

iptsi Runner

Sprint through a neon grid, jump the blocks and collect the orbs. One tap to jump, a second tap mid-air to double jump. It gets faster the longer you survive.

Colour puzzle

Prism Pop

Tap any group of two or more touching gems to burst it. Big groups pay far more than several small ones, so the skill is in saving the fat clusters instead of spending them early.

Reflex

Pulse Tap

A ring closes in on the target. Tap the moment they line up. Perfect timing pays double, and every hit makes the next ring faster — three misses ends the run.

Grid arcade

iptsi Serpent

Steer the serpent around the grid and eat the glowing orbs. Every orb makes you longer and a little faster, and both the walls and your own tail are solid.

Brick breaker

iptsi Bricks

Bounce the ball off the paddle and clear the wall one brick at a time. Where the ball lands on the paddle decides where it goes next.

Matching pairs

iptsi Memory

Turn two cards at a time and match all eight shapes. There is no timer and nothing to lose — only the moves you spend finding the pairs.

Precision

iptsi Stack

A block slides back and forth above the tower. Drop it so it lands on the block below, and only the part that overlaps survives. Miss entirely and the run ends.

Reaction

iptsi Mole

Targets pop up in the nine holes and duck away again. Tap them before they disappear. Pink bombs cost a life if you touch them, and a target you let slip costs one too.

Endless flyer

iptsi Glide

Tap to lift, and let go to fall. Thread the gap in each wall as it arrives. The walls come faster the further you get, and the gaps never get wider.

Number puzzle

iptsi Merge

Swipe to slide every tile at once. Two tiles with the same number combine into one worth double. Build the highest tile you can before there is nowhere left to move.

Maze runner

iptsi Maze

Clear every dot in a maze that is generated fresh each level. Running out of time costs a life, not the run, so a slow start is survivable and a habit of it is not.

Paddle duel

iptsi Rally

Keep the ball in play and past the far paddle. Where it lands on your paddle sets the angle, and every return makes it a little quicker.

Dodge

iptsi Escape

Blocks fall and the gaps between them are never in the same place twice. Slide left and right to slip through — the longer you last, the faster they come.

Sequence

iptsi Echo

Four pads light up in an order, each with its own note. Watch the whole sequence, then tap it back. Every round adds one more step.

Word puzzle

iptsi Words

The letters of a word are scattered. Tap them back into order to spell it out. Fill every slot correctly to score; a wrong full attempt costs a life.

Quick maths

iptsi Sum

A sum appears with four possible answers. Pick the right one before the bar empties, and every six correct answers makes the arithmetic harder.

Attention

iptsi Hue

A colour name is written in a colour that usually disagrees with it. Sometimes the prompt asks for the ink, sometimes for the word. Read it, then tap.

Arcade

iptsi Rocks

Rocks drift in from every edge and your ship turns in place. Fire to break them — the big ones split in two — and never let one touch the hull.

Match three

iptsi Match

Swap two neighbouring gems to line up three or more of the same colour. They clear, everything above falls, and the chain can pay far more than the first line.

Colour puzzle

iptsi Flood

The top-left square is yours. Pick a colour and every square connected to your region takes it, spreading outward. Fill the whole board before your moves run out.

Android • HTML5

Poppy Playtime

A recognisable premium title that gives a catalogue instant comprehension.

Premium IP

Super Meat Boy Forever

A high-retention arcade platformer with a hard-core following and short, repeatable runs.

Valve Licensed

Bridge Constructor Portal

A licensed physics puzzler built on a globally recognised franchise, with linear progress that is easy to return to.

Kids & Family

Vlad & Niki: Monster Truck

Family-friendly racing built on one of the most-watched kids channels in the world.

Global Franchise

Winx Club Coloring

A creative, low-friction title from a global franchise with a long-running fan base.

Casual Arcade

Mr Bean: Sandwich Stack

A one-tap casual arcade game built on a comedy brand known in every market.

Architecture

Why every game here is a single HTML file

The single-file rule is not nostalgia. It removes a whole class of problems at once, and it is the constraint the rest of the design is built around.

Engineering

The frame loop is where browser games go wrong

A game can have perfect mechanics and still feel unfair if the loop is written carelessly. Most of the work is in the timing.

Input

Touch before keyboard: designing controls for a thumb

A control that assumes a mouse is the most common reason a browser game is unplayable on the device most people are holding.

Rendering

Drawing the artwork at runtime, in code

Every shape in these games is painted on a canvas as it plays. That sounds extravagant, and it is the reason a whole game weighs less than one photograph.

Audio

Sound effects from a few lines of code

No audio files, nothing to preload, and no third-party library — just oscillators and envelopes, synthesised as they play.

Storage

Saving a best score with no account and no server

These games remember your best score without knowing who you are. That is a design decision as much as a technical one.

Performance

Keeping a steady frame rate on a phone that is several years old

A game that only runs well on current hardware is a game most of its audience cannot play. Here is what actually costs frames.

Rendering

Staying sharp on every screen without changing the game’s coordinates

A canvas has two sizes: the one it is displayed at and the one it is drawn at. Confusing them is why so many browser games look soft.

Design

Knowing when a game is finished

The hardest part of building a small game is not the code. It is deciding that the thing is done.

Architecture

Building a game that never phones home

Nothing here is fetched while you play. That is what makes a game work on a train, and it removes a whole category of failure.

Engineering

Collision detection for small games, without a physics engine

You do not need a physics engine to make things bump into each other convincingly. You need to know which approximations are safe.

Catalogue

Curation over volume: a catalogue is judged by the second game a player opens

Any site can list a thousand games. The number that matters is how many a player tries after the first one.
