About iptsi Glide
iptsi Glide is a one-button game with a single moving part. Your bird falls constantly and drifts forward at a fixed rate. Tap anywhere and it gets a short upward push. That is the whole control scheme, and the challenge is that gravity never stops while you are deciding whether the next gap is high enough.
The difficulty comes from the walls rather than from the input. Every gate you pass adds a small amount to the forward speed, so the same gap that was comfortable at the start arrives noticeably sooner a minute later. The gap height never shrinks, which means a crash is always the result of the approach speed rather than a hidden change in the rules.
How to play
- Tap or press Space to lift. Holding does nothing โ each tap is one push.
- Pass through the gap in each wall. Touching a wall, the ceiling or the floor ends the run.
- Each gate is worth one point, and the speed rises with every gate.
- You have three lives, so two mistakes are survivable if you can recover quickly.
How it was built
The bird, the walls, the particles and the ground line are all drawn at runtime on one canvas, and the sound is synthesised rather than loaded. The game is a single HTML file with no images and no audio files, which is what lets it start instantly on a slow connection and run inside a sandboxed environment such as YouTube Playables.
The collision test is deliberately generous: the bird's radius is measured against the wall rectangles with a small forgiveness margin, because a one-tap game that punishes you for a pixel is not difficult, it is just unfair.
Why it is free
iptsi builds these titles in-house and owns them outright, so nothing here is licensed or resold. They exist to be played, and to show the kind of game that fits the open web: no install, no account, no waiting, and no advertising on this page. Your best distance is stored in your own browser and is never uploaded.
